At a height of 172 metres the Rhine Tower allows you a great view of city, country and river. The parliament of North-Rhine Westphalia lies at its feet. Right next to it you will find Düsseldorf's new landmark, the City Gate. It was voted Europe's best office building. The State Chancellery has its seat here.

The tower is supported by 260 concrete pillars. They reach 11 m deep into the subsoil.

There is a light sculpture on its shaft which works as a clock. It is the biggest digital clock in the world. Yellow lights are arranged in a vertical line and indicate the time on the tower. The hours, minutes and seconds are divided by horizontal red air traffic lights.
